About the role

We're building the next generation of field services software, and we need a Senior QA Engineer who can own quality across our entire platform — from test strategy through execution and release confidence. You'll work alongside Engineering, Product, and Design to make sure what we ship actually works the way customers expect it to. At our size (10-20 people), this isn't a "run the test suite and file tickets" role. You'll be deeply embedded in the work — understanding features as they're specced, designing test strategies that catch issues before customers do, maintaining the documentation that keeps quality consistent, and raising your hand when something isn't ready.

We're actively onboarding enterprise customers, so the quality bar is high and the surface area is growing fast.

What we're looking for

Own quality end-to-end

Design and maintain comprehensive test strategies across our web platform, mobile apps, and API layer. Take full responsibility for test coverage — functional, regression, exploratory, and API-level — and make sure nothing ships without the right level of confidence. As the product grows, you'll define what "quality" means for us and how we measure it.

Ship with the team

Work closely with developers, designers, and product to understand what's being built and why. Get involved early — during spec reviews, design handoffs, and PR cycles — so testing isn't an afterthought. You'll test individual tickets as they're completed, write detailed test cases, execute them thoroughly, and document defects with enough clarity that engineers can act on them immediately. You don't need to write production code, but you should be technical enough to dig into logs, trace issues through the stack, and have productive conversations about root cause.

Document what matters

Own and maintain our test documentation — test plans, test cases, regression suites, and known issue logs. As the product grows and the team scales, this documentation becomes the foundation for how we onboard new team members, manage releases, and maintain institutional knowledge around how features are expected to behave. You keep it current, organized, and useful — not just a box to check.

Be the voice of risk

At a startup moving fast, someone needs to evaluate what's ready to ship and what isn't. That's you. You assess risk across complex feature interactions, flag edge cases the team didn't think about, and surface blockers before they reach customers. When issues do come in from the field, you're the one triaging and reproducing them — often from vague descriptions — and turning them into something the team can fix. When you raise a concern, it's backed by evidence and framed in a way the team can act on.

Keep the bar high

Partner with Engineering to continuously improve how we build and test. Push for better practices — clearer acceptance criteria, more testable architectures, earlier feedback loops. You bring a quality mindset to the team, not just a QA function.
