For all testers

Thank you for the patience, participation, and support while we have been building the foundational elements of the Firefly software.

This first build covers the end-to-end customer journey: initial customer creation, creating orders and services, scheduling and executing services, invoicing and cash payment application.

We are excited to give you hands-on access to this release. Will will continue to make regular updates to this release including enhancements and bug fixes. We are simultaneously working towards the next major release.

Purpose of this release

The purpose of this release is to provide you initial access to the building blocks of the software. What you see is less than 10% of what you will be able to see in the final product. Additionally, we completed extensive backend work to support future development that you will not be able to interact with, visually, in this product.

This release is not intended to be a saleable version of the software. There will be gaps and bugs that will not make it into future releases. Additionally, you may encounter incomplete workflows that will be completed in future releases.

We kindly ask that you take this into account when interacting with, and providing feedback for, this version of Firefly. We value your participation and collaboration and are providing a level of access not normally given to potential customers.

How will this work?

Your project manager has provided us with your email address and you should have already received an email with an invitation to create your password from [email protected]. Mobile testers will receive an additional email with instructions to download the Firefly Mobile Application.

We have created a list of verified, testable tasks for both web and mobile testers. There may be other elements, buttons, actions, and workflows that are in the application but are not considered to be verified.

Please only provide feedback on only the verified ✅ tasks, and only when there is an issue that prevents you from completing it.

How do I submit feedback?

Any and all feedback related to the tests should be emailed to [email protected] and you will receive a response within 1 business day.

If you are submitting an issue please include the following, or you will be asked for it before we can capture any actionable information for our developers:

We will be rapidly rolling out improvements, enhancements, and bug fixes as they are discovered in the coming weeks.

What issues does 40grid already know about?

Known Issues

Above you will find a list of the bugs and future features you might encounter during your test of this release.

If you encounter a new issue, not on this list, please email [email protected] explaining the issue, the steps to reproduce, and any screen captures or recording showing the issue.

Submitting Design and Usability Feedback

Please send an email, separately from normal testing feedback, to [email protected] and you will receive an acknowledgement within 1 business day.

Bug fixes are generally discrete, solvable issues, while design changes require multiple data points and internal solutioning to address. Expect responses to design and usability feedback to be slower than bug reports.

Issues related to designs and usability will be captured in a database and as users encounter them, we will upvote them to raise visibility.

Once per major release, and at intervals up to the discretion of the Design Team, we will go through the feedback and address issues that have reached a critical mass, designing usability testing to gather data to inform a design direction.
